Experience

Advanced Electrical Testing, Inc. has been providing start-up and acceptance testing services for the utility, industrial, health care, and commercial segments for over five years.

AET tests ground fault systems, transformers, vacuum circuit breakers, SF6 circuit breakers, electromechanical relays, microprossessor based relays, variable speed drives, tap changers, cables, generators, motors, motor control centers, switchboards, panelboards, molded case circuit breakers, control systems, switchgear, grounding systems, and more.

Common tests we provide include transformer oil sampling, transformer turns ratio, high current injection, secondary injection, protective relay calibration, ground fault system tests, insulation power factor, contact resistance, high potential testing (HIPOT), thermographic surveys (infrared scan), and more.

Standards

AET tests are performed to:

  1. InterNational Electrical Testing Association, Acceptance Testing Specifications - NETA ATS
  2. American National Standards Institute - ANSI
  3. Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers - IEEE
  4. National Institute of Standards and Technology - NIST

All testing is performed using equipment that is calibrated and traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
